When Jonas Linder (25) , first came across Moelven it was in the role of trainee. Almost a year later, he is ready for his new assignment as Sales Assistant at Moelven Export Sales AB. "I'm really looking forward to getting closer to our customers and learning even more about the sales process from my experienced new colleagues," says Jonas.
The former floorball player Jonas has his roots deeply rooted in the densely forested of Hälsingland and later on in Värmland, where he both grew up and studied for his master of business and economics. In September 2023, he was one of eleven trainees that started in Moelven's trainee program. And his time as trainee is something that he sees as very valuable for his future assignment as Sales Assistant in Moelven Export Sales AB.
"It feels very valuable to get such a holistic perspective on the entire value chain. For me, it started with getting an insight into our company that is responsible for the supply of raw materials, Moelven Skog AB. This gave me good knowledge about how we conduct forestry. To then follow the raw material into the sawmills and understand the production process and then take on assignments at our international sales offices has been a journey where I have learned a lot.
It's not just forestry, production processes and sales activities that Jonas highlights as valuable.
- The network of contacts you get as a trainee is fantastic. I like meeting people and feel that the reception I have received throughout Moelven has been very good. I've met so many knowledgeable people who have been happy to share what they know and who have also been interested in new perspectives and ideas. I now hope to broaden my contact network even further," says Jonas.
What does your new job as Sales Assistant entail?
"I will be supporting our new Sales Manager for the Baltics, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, Magnus Lindquist, and be a back-office resource for him. Among other things, I will handle the administrative aspects of the contracts. I will then make sure that the sawn and planed timber products reach our customers as planned and maintain good communication with our customers. And of course, I will be part of the team at Moelven Export Sales AB.
When asked how Jonas would describe himself, he replies:
“I would say that I am a creative thinker who constantly strives to make things a little better. I always try to see how many small changes make a difference. I'm a winner who likes to challenge myself, something that has followed me from my career in sports.”
