On June 1, Christer Hagberg assumed his new role as CEO of Moelven Valåsen AB. Since April 1, Hagberg has held the position of CEO for Moelven Valåsen Wood AB, but from now on, he will also take over the CEO role for Moelven Valåsen.

"It feels really great to start my new assignment, and I am already benefiting greatly from having been at Valåsen since April. This setup has allowed me to get to know the organization, the area, and, not least, to meet several of my new colleagues," says Hagberg.

The development journey continues

With several investment projects underway, Moelven's development journey in Karlskoga is in full swing. This journey involves modernizing the saw line, dryers, planer, and Moelven's new pellet factory in the area. All this is to ensure competitiveness today and tomorrow.

"I look forward to being part of creating the conditions to realize the potential of these investments, and I am convinced that my employees are the key," says Hagberg.

The former CEO, Thomas Haglund, will continue his mission to ensure that the development initiatives meet the set requirements and can be implemented effectively, but now in the role of Project Director for Moelven's Timber Division.

"It feels especially good to keep Thomas Haglund in Valåsen's service for some time to come. While Thomas focuses on getting the technology in place, I will continue working on setting up an organization and scaling up staffing to suit future operations.

"The development journey that Valåsen is currently undergoing is both exciting and extremely demanding. That's why it's so good that we have employees who can switch roles during the journey so that we get the whole picture in place. Thomas's in-depth knowledge of the project makes him the right person to get the machinery ready, and Christer can ensure that the organization will handle the new challenges that come with increased volume and new products," says Anders Lindh, Division Manager at Moelven Timber.
