Moelven Industries CEO Hans Rindal used the opportunity yesterday to speak with the Prime Minster and the Minister of Agriculture and Food, when they together with former Minister Valgerd Svarstad Haugland, attended an outdoor event close to a sawmill in Minnesund.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food had on beforehand invited some actors from the forest industry to the family owned sawmill Krogsrud Sag, Tuesday afternoon.
Here the ministers received a update on the Norwegian forest industry, as well as some comments on the current challenges that lies in front of the industry.
Rindal was there as a Representative of the industry, together with Olav A. Veum chairman of the Norwegian Forest Owner’s Federation, and Leader of the Strategy-group “Skog22”, Gunnar Olofsson from Sweden.
After an initial introduction from all parts, a discussion and a short Q&A-session followed with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture and Food closely monitoring.
Gathered around the bonfire: Prime Minster Erna Solberg, Minister of Agriculture and Food, Sylvi Listhaug, and former Minister Valgerd Svarstad Haugland was among the audience as CEO Hans Rindal spoke about the future of the Norwegian forest industry.
