Being an industrial group, it is important for Moelven to be a leading player in its field when it comes to consideration for the environment and sustainable community development.
Our production is based almost entirely on wood, a renewable resource. The use of wood combined with new tree growth in forests reduces CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere and counteracts global warming. Trees trap CO2 from the air and store carbon, via photosynthesis, until the wood from the tree is burnt or is biologically broken down. The CO2 is then returned into the atmosphere from where it is reabsorbed by growing forests.
